Hi Chris... I recommend you use this logo for sites with light backgrounds (http://generousgenealogists.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/GGfriend1.png) or use this one if your Blog page background is dark in color (http://generousgenealogists.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/darkGGfriend1.png)
Good luck! ...mark

Hi Mark I'm trying to post your logo on my blog. I use blogger, but I'm having a hard time getting it on my site correctly. I followed the directions listed above but I am getting a very dark logo that says "Friend" How can I get a different image of your button? Thanks -Chris White

Tina- I have a great great aunt who was removed from the family history by a sister, who wrote the family history, based on a older manuscript and an interview with a relative who lived to be 100. The great great aunt had been a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding in 1908, then I find her on the census in 1910, and in 1920, she appears on the census at Friends Hospital in Pennsylvania. Later I find her in Norristown State Hospital on the 1940 census. I found out when my grandmother died, that the great great aunt had been buried in 1950 in the family plot. I believe my great grandfather or his brother had her buried there, but the cemetery had no further info on the burial arrangements. So, at some point before 1920, someone in the family decided that she needed to be 'put away'. She was a gifted pianist from what I understand, but I've tried contacting Friends Hospital (which still exists) and have no idea on how to contact Norristown, also still in existence. And because I'm a not a direct descendent, they probably wouldn't give me any information if they were able to give it. I just wish I could honor her in some way, but i know nothing about her.

Hi! desperitly need help to find any relatives for GGPa Louis Dupre from the Alasce-Lorraine France area. Born @1845. Came to USA illegally, so no finding on any ship manifest. Met and married GGMa Josephine McGlothin in North Louisiana @ 1880 ish? I know he had at least one brother and his Mom was still alive for the early parts of 1930-1932. But cannot find and birth records for him or no clue who parents may have been. Any help is very much welcomed :)
Thanks - Betty Dupre (very frustrated genealogist)
